As a part of the United Church of Canada, we subscribe to the beliefs as outlined here. A few of those highlights are:
Rosedale United Church welcomes people of all sexual orientations and gender identities to attend, join, celebrate life passages, and participate with us in the call to leadership, mission and outreach. We are called to celebrate LGBTQ folk, and their families, as they are.
Some churches worldwide have been unaccepting and a source of grief for many in the LGBTQ community. Rosedale United Church is a sanctuary that offers a community, sharing comfort, healing, and openness to all.
With the help of the Holy Spirit, our congregation will continue to develop as an affirming inclusive community to honour diversity and challenge injustice. We commit ourselves to work and share with those who have suffered discrimination, to create a community open for growth and education.
Ministry comes in many forms, from all members of the church. Some are called to ordained, or diaconal ministry. Others to lay leadership within the congregation and the community at large. We believe that leadership is not limited by a person's age, gender, race, or abilities. We encourage all to explore their gifts and find ways to contribute to the wider community of God's children.
