Yoga & Meditation
This 2 hour resource for spiritual growth and physical strength and awareness is held in our beautiful Sanctuary and led by Karen Bowles, Minister of Pastoral Care at the Church and by Sheila Miller, a certified Kripalu yoga teacher with 10 years experience. Each session begins with a time of Hatha Yoga followed by a guided meditation. It is not necessary to have done Yoga before. Classes begin with fluid warm-ups and centered breathing followed by postures modified to the needs of individual participants. Kripalu Yoga builds strength, awareness and flexibility by holding the poses and deepening the breath. A time of deep relaxation leads into the meditation.
