Walking Group
‘Come for a Walk’ is Growing
Now Twice weekly – Mondays and Fridays ! Both at 9:30am.
Beginning MondayNovember 2 @ 9:30 am (faster pace, hills) and Friday November 6 (slower pace, level ground) we will be going for a walk on from the Church into the Ravine ending back at the Church at 10:30 am.
Nourish your Spirit
Portions of the newest United Church Statement of Faith – ‘A Song of Faith’ will be provided for reflection while walking or simply tucking away to read later.
Exercise your Body
The benefits of walking are numerous. Walking can help you:
- Lower low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol (the “bad” cholesterol)
- Raise high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol (the “good” cholesterol)
- Lower your blood pressure
