‘Unlikely Hope in God’s Odd Tent’

The message this morning was presented as a conversation between Doug Norris and Catherine Porter, who was reflecting on her recent experience as a reporter (Toronto Star) in Port au Prince, Haiti, in the weeks following the tragic earthquake.
These reflections included the remarkable position of being able to carry to a larger audience the story of a people in such a trying circumstance, the nature of hope, which enables people to see through an almost impossible reality to another, later possibility, that life will return again. Catherine left us with an encouragement to listen well for what others may need from us, and to not miss an opportunity, when the time is right, to use our intellect and our spirit and our resources to bring that hope to life.
